Community
Giving back to our communities is part of the culture at Foster White. As an agency, we support numerous local charities and community organizations. We have some of the most highly skilled professionals at Foster White, and they are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents. Over 90% of the team at Foster White is actively involved in local charities, non-profits, coaching and other civic organizations.
Monticello Help Center
We have been volunteering at the Monticello Help Centers' food distribution monthly. It gives us great joy to serve the community and help others in need. The Monticello Help Center is a local non-profit dedicated to reducing hunger in their community and restoring hope to the people they serve.
Christmas Card Community Nonprofit Giveaway
This started in 2018 when we decided to donate $500 to a local nonprofit in lieu of sending Christmas cards. There are many fantastic organizations that our clients are passionate about, and we give them the opportunity to nominate the ones that mean the most to them. The winning nonprofit is selected by a random drawing. We have had some of our carriers, partner with us to match our donation and make it go even further.

Foster White’s 10 Days of Christmas
Day 1 we had a kickoff event to take our annual Christmas picture and spend time reconnecting as a group. All employees received two $20 gift cards to hand out to people within the community.
Day 2 was spent spreading holiday cheer in New Ulm. We visited the new office and surprised people around town by paying for the meals, goods and services at local stores and restaurants. We had a very touching moment at Haar Frisure.

Day 3 at Foster White involved the staff getting a little crafty. We each created spruce tip pots for our homes or to give away to others. The kits were from Live Laugh Bloom in Monticello.
Day 4 was a great shift with Toys for Tots. Some of our staff enjoyed sorting toys and helping parents’ shop for their families.
Day 5 and 6 was our wrapping party and gift drop off day. We purchased and wrapped gifts for the Giving Tree at the Monticello High School (Minnesota). Many students asked for winter coats, hats, shoes, and clothes. It's always one of our favorite ways to give back to the community.

Day 7 and 9 were staff appreciation days. Our employees were treated to a massage from Ellen at Body Rhythms, located in Monticello. Body Rhythms as a beautiful studio and the massages were amazing. It’s always nice to take a little time to relax during the busy season.

Day 8 was spent at the Monticello Help Center. We had 10 employees help box and bag groceries in preparation for the food drive. The crew then headed outside to load the food into cars and wish everyone a happy holiday season. We served over 160 families in just a few hours.

Day 10 was our last day of the 10 Days of Christmas. We spent it reflecting on our time together and how we were able to serve our community. As one employee shared “Thank you Foster White for providing us the opportunity to spread some goodwill within our community.”

Monticello High School Giving Tree
Since 2011, Foster White Agency has participated in the Giving Tree at Monticello High School. As a group we purchase, wrap, and deliver the gifts with the hope of spreading holiday cheer.

Community Service Days 2019
We are in this together, our community supports us, and we support them. Each year Foster White plans consecutive days of opportunities for our team to work side by side to make a positive impact.

Monticello Fire Department
There are multiple Foster White Agency team members and family members serving on the department. They step up to keep others safe and ensure the department can continue to serve our community. We have five firefighter families as part of the team. Jake Olinger is the current Assistant Chief, Dustin Craig is a Captain, David Berning is a Firefighter. Jen Middleton and Heather Joerg are also part of the firefighter family as their significant others are both on the fire department.
Air National Guard
Foster White is proud to have an Air National Guard member as part of the team. David Berning has been in the Air National Guard for 15 years.
